Vice President of Sales

A thriving, innovative and expanding company is currently looking for a VP, Sales for their local manufacturing organization.  The VP, Sales is a strategic role, working with leadership team in the execution of their short and long term strategic objectives and vision for the organization on a go forward basis.  Will be part of a team that leads a group of sales professionals, both outside and inside sales functions, as well as support staff in the development, management, oversight, and evaluation of business development functions.

Summary:

Looking for an Executive, not just a salesman.  Need a passionate, forward thinking individual with a fire in their belly that can take a vision and put a process together, leading and growing their team to execute on that mission and vision set forth.  The key to success in this role is the ability to mentor, grow, train, and lead a group professionals in the execution of the ‘ plan’.  Requires a high level of customer focus and collaboration of both internal and external resources. 
  • The VP of Sales develops senior level relationships with key decision makers of the customer base.
  • The VP of Sales is responsible for planning and forecasting demand. Role requires a higher level of analytical skills.  Fulfilling customers need is priority #1.
  • The VP of Sales develops and implements individual growth plans for sales team.
  • Be part of a team that identifies and mentors those who excel in sales.  Assist them in meeting their full potential.
  • Must have proven understanding of market conditions.  Constantly analyzing and interrupting data in order to predict and forecast and understand the ‘ value proposition’ for all parties.
  • The VP of Sales ensures that all accounts are aligned to the Corporate Strategy.
  • The VP of Sales works with department heads to maintain control over customer inventories, input to raw materials inventories.
  • The VP of Sales is responsible pricing and margin expectations in alignment with CEOs vision and strategy. 

Requirements:
  • BS with  10 years in a sales or marketing leadership role. 
  • Proven leadership abilities, highly experienced in leading, mentoring, and growing subordinates to realize their full potential. 
  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.  
  • Strong strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting background.    Solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Proficiency with of all Microsoft Business application software.
