High tech semiconductor manufacturer, with several operations across the United States is currently seeking a Vice President, Sales & Business Development that will lead all sales and new Business Development activities for the organization.  Will have oversight over the development, identification, and qualification of targets accounts and engage in opportunities that lead to expanding the footprint of the organization, driving market share and working with the CEO as a strategist.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES for Vice President, Sales:

  • Lead by example.  Provide oversight and direction to sales group. 
  • Own the maintenance of existing client base while hunting for new business.
  • Apply knowledge to create and execute organizations strategic growth plans around technology, products and end-market penetration strategies.
  • Build long-term business opportunities by forming strategic relationships with customers and partners in the industry
  • Work with CEO to build detailed sales plans and strategies.
  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities and be an advocate of the CRM system. 
  • Provide leadership and direction to technical sales teams.  Foster teamwork, collaboration, and resolve.

QUALIFICATIONS to be successful as a Vice President, Sales:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 12 +plus years in technical sales.  MBA a plus.   Outstanding communication skills, both written, verbal, and interpersonal.  Ability to work at all levels of the organization.  Must be a power user of MS Office products, including excellent proficiency with Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Seeking candidates with a rich background in semiconductor and/or telecommunications background with a solid understanding of semiconductor marketing principles, brand, product and service management.
  • Demonstrated and tangible history of success and winning/hunting new business impacting the bottom line.   Must have the ability take analytical data and translate that to actionable strategies in order to achieve objectives.
