What you will be doing?
  • Delegating and monitoring work orders to ensure on-time shipments.
  • Performing duties involved in shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging and distributing of equipment, materials, merchandise and similar items.
  • Ensuring guidelines are followed when processing shipments.
  • Observing and evaluating workers’ performance and shares with Supervisor by any proper documentation around performance for disciplinary needs.
  • Training new employees on daily responsibilities in the warehouse.
  • Helping team resolve problems and completing tasks.
  • Participating in LEAN and process improvement efforts, suggests and implements measures to improve safety, efficiency, productivity, and accuracy of the work team.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, freight containers, other types of transporting equipment.
  • Coordinates and/or transports equipment, supplies, products and materials to and from one location, department or work station to another.
  • Ensuring that all materials are checked against vendors' invoices, bills of lading, customer orders and similar papers.
  • Maintains records of damaged or defective items and discrepancies in quantities and weights and records time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials received or shipped.

What do you need to be successful in this position?
  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training.
  • Experience using a forklift PC literate to include experience with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
