Quality Manager

If you offer quality engineering and/or management experience in manufacturing, you may have interest in this Quality Manager role. In this job role you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, the ISO system and certification, quality-related customer support, and overall management of the North American and European Union Quality department. You need to offer experience with ISO-9001 and TS-16949, Six Sigma, system auditing, and APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC and more. You will manage others and report to Director level.

What will you be doing?
  • Our Quality Manager Develops, implement, communicate and maintain a quality management system to ensure the Company’ s Quality Systems and Policies are followed and remain in compliance with ISO9001
  • Our Quality Manager Ensures all Control Plans, IQC, IPQC, and LAT testing protocols are appropriate and adequate to ensure the company only ships conforming products to customers
  • Our Quality Manager Manages a team of quality engineers, supervisors and technicians
  • Our Quality Manager Coaches team members in the use of quality analysis tools, GD&T, statistics and measurement methods
  • Our Quality Manager Formulates and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC function
  • Our Quality Manager Establishes a training and development plans to increase the capabilities of all team members
  • Our Quality Manager Actively promotes quality achievement and performance improvement 
  • Our Quality Manager Effectively interacts with the Operations, Sales and Engineering teams to maintain product supply and introduce new products in a time-efficient manner
  • Our Quality Manager Works with Purchasing and the Supplier Development Team to establish quality requirements and tracking metrics for suppliers
  • Our Quality Manager Tracks progress toward goals and report monthly for accountability; track and report the Cost of Poor Quality for NA and EU operations
  • Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, executed and results evaluated
  • Maintain excellent records of all testing and establish an electronic test records database that can be shared by all sites
  • Investigate and resolve product performance and testing inconsistencies with Engineering
  • Our Quality Manager Defines, enforce and maintain documentation control procedures
  • Actively seek to continuously improve the performance and efficiency of the laboratory
  • Serve as the primary customer interface during quality-related investigations

What do you need for this job position?
  • Bachelor Degree in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering or related technical discipline; Master degree is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or related field
  • Management experience to manage and coach the quality engineers, supervisors and technicians
  • Experience with Quality and Engineering systems and methods, including as a minimum: APQP, PPAP, Process Flow Chart, PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC & Problem Solving (e.g. 8D)
  • Strong leadership capability required (matrix organization)
  • Six Sigma Experience; preferred certification as Green or Black Belt
  • Experience in ISO 9001 and TS-16949
  • Strong Analytical skills; ability to quickly analyze data and make time-sensitive decisions; strong problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Proven record of creativity and developing innovative solutions to highly complex technical requirements.
  • Experience in Quality Management System and System audits
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent and effective interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, peers, subordinates and management; with ability to motivate and mentor
  • Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or tooling design
  • Metrology, GD&T, measurement technology, and gauge design
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
