Our client is a Leader in their respective industry and has engaged our firm to find a dynamic Advanced Quality Engineer to add to their team based out of Evanston, IL. Would you like to be part of a growing organization?  If so, keep reading!

The Advanced Quality Engineer will focus on the proactive elements of the Quality Management System by designing appropriate process controls and supporting documentation for new and revised products and processes per customer and company requirements.  Partner with the Engineering and Warranty Teams to develop reliability requirements, reliability modeling, reliability analysis, reliability testing of components and systems to achieve customer objectives. Work cross functionally with employees, peers and leadership to implement advanced reliability and quality planning tools to help drive improvements in Product Quality and Reliability.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • BS in Engineering, prefer BSEE or BSME
  • At least 5 years of progressive Quality Assurance or Engineering
  • Knowledge of and experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management System and other applicable industry standards.
  • Extensive metrology, GD&T and drawing interpretation skills.
  • Possess strong competency in advanced Quality Core Tools such as Process Flow Diagrams, Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, MSA (Gage Capability), Process Capability (SPC) and Error Proofing/Poke Yoke.
  • Understands analytical problem solving methods – i.e. 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, 3 Leg & 5 Why, and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems.
  • Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications

Desired Skills:
  • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt
  • Experience with Product Design and Development
  • Strong Electro-Mechanical / Electrical background desired.  
  • Experience with Government Contracts, Specifications and Requirements
  • Experience in design for reliability, availability, maintainability processes during product development lifecycle using reliability block diagrams, fault tree analysis (FTA), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA).
