What You Will Be Doing?

  • Responsible for supporting the Operations and Engineering groups in the design and launch of new products, as well as leading root cause analysis investigations that arise from internal production or external customer issues, and provides strong leadership in applying defect prevention techniques.
  • Create, submit, review, and support development of process documentation, including FMEA, Control Plans and work instructions. 
  • Actively promote high quality products and processes through mentoring and coaching of team members in statistics, process control, root cause analysis, etc.
  • Ensure testing methods are properly understood, carried out and evaluated.
  • Review product performance results noting any testing anomalies and working with cross functional team for resolution.
  • Effectively interact with the Operations and Engineering teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products through APQP (PPAP) process.
  • Process and facilitate ISIR, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, DFMEA, Process Flow charts and APQP.
  • Support new product launches.
  • Be the SME for measurement methods, tools, capability analysis and GR&R.

What You Need For This Position?

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred ( Not Required ) along with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Quality role.
  • Automotive experience preferred.
  • Experience with ISO-9000 requirements required; experience with TS-16949 preferred.
  • Knowledge of recognized Quality and Engineering systems, including as a minimum: APQP, PPAP, Process Flow Chart, PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC & Problem Solving.
  • Six sigma experience ~ Green Belt or higher preferred.
  • Proven history of creativity and developing innovative solutions to highly complex technical requirements
  • Demonstrated record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, peers, subordinates and management
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
