Senior Project Manager

Our client, who specialize in developing, implementing and supporting integrated advanced technology systems, is seeking to add a Senior Project Manager to their team.  This will be a 6 month contract to hire position.

Located in Jacksonville, FL, the Project Manager will;
  • Manage all activities for customer interface, project deployment, installation, configuration and support of our intelligent systems. 
  • As a hands on project manager, you will development of schedules, risk management, and the management of sub-contractors on and off site. 
  • Must be able to interact with Senior Leadership teams as well as be able to technically contribute to installation, configuration and deployment products.

Our client’ s technologies incorporate artificial intelligence applications, including video analytics-based security applications, intelligent process controls, and information technologies, for a wide range of global customers.

What you will be doing?
  • The Senior Project Manager is managing full scale project plans and project lifecycles from start to completion
  • The Senior Project Manager is Responsible for the project team and sub-contractors performance which includes design, procurement, construction, test and operations.
  • The Senior Project Manager is defines and documents project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • The Senior Project Manager is iidentifies, records, and mitigates risks during the entire project lifecycle
  • The Senior Project Manager is sets and communicates project expectations
  • The Senior Project Manager is provides progress reports and manage project expectations.
  • The Senior Project Manager is manages project changes and identify potential issues and create alternative plans
  • Plan, schedule, track and communicate project timelines, milestones and deliverables
  • Create project budgets, track cost, and provide leadership teams data on actual vs budget
  • Manage operational KPIs and identify financial risks.  Develop plan to alleviate loss.
  • Modify budgets, project forecasting, and adapt to changes
  • Understand technology systems and products offered and be a subject matter expert
  • Educate and train both internal departments as well as external customers about the product features and services offered

What you need for this position?
  • 5+ years of project management experience – prefer experience in any of the following:
    • Commissioning of video surveillance/video analytics systems
    • Physical security applications
    • Large scale automated or heavy equipment involving subcontractors/buildouts
  • BS Degree in Engineering discipline required
  • Development of Gantt charts and experienced with using project management software required
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure and IT technologies
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • Experience in the Rail/Railroad and/or transportation industry is a plus
