Program Manager

Located in North Central, IN our client is a leading provider of a wide range of products that that extend from the automotive industry to a wide range of commercial truck manufacturers, to the recreational uses, including camping, boating, to consumer products used throughout your home. 

This large, multi-billion dollar manufacturer is currently looking for an experienced Program Manager to support their manufacturing operations, locally, regionally, and around the world, operating in accordance with the strategic initiatives set forth by executive team.  Position located in South Bend/Mishawaka, IN area.  MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE!


Reporting to the Vice President, this role will run point on ensuring that all strategic projects for the organization and executed in accordance with the strategic plan, including but not limited to:  development of an adherences to timelines and budgets.  Will involve all stakeholders in the organization and will act as a resource to the organization to address issues and concerns to each project.


  • Will lead both small and large projects assigned, that could include product launch (ie APQP), or macro level projects relating to major expansion or facility, manufacturing site start-up.
  • Responsible for team level involvement.  Will ensure each team member responsibilities are clearly identified and establish project measure of performance based on business case and other predetermined criteria at start of the project.
  • Ensure professional launch(es) through facilitation of the cross functional team to meet quality, performance and delivery expectations.
  • Track and manage the program budget to ensure all financial metrics are met, lead all cost reduction and margin improvement activity where required to meet targets.
  • Facilitate completion of appropriate requirements for prototype and production program deliverables.
  • Review and update the business case/ project agreement as the program scope changes.
  • Using excellent communication skills will ensure the right technical and commercial interface occurs with customers, suppliers, and functional stakeholders.
  • Track and communicate project status to relevant key stakeholders to meet program milestones and targets.
  • Manage program and customer open issues list. Facilitate and manage the completion of action items.

Bachelor’s Degree required.  PMP Certification preferred with 8-15 years of Program Management / Project Management within an industry aligned to the business ( ie.; Automotive, consumer products, etc.).  SCRUM Certification preferred, but not required.  Prefer a working knowledge of APQP and PPAP background.  Must have proven ability to drive objective accountability within cross-functional teams by use of excellent communication and organization skills.  Must have ability to interact with suppliers, customers and senior management and have the time management and organizational skills to manage programs in cross cultural environments.  Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project. 

Must have knowledge of design for manufacturability including best practices.  Experience in management of Greenfield/Brownfield development projects required.

Must be willing to relocate and reside in the South Bend/Mishawaka, IN or surrounding area.
