To support their growth, they are seeking a Production Engineering Manager, with previous Management experience overseeing custom machine builds with a keen eye for developing employee’s. What you will be doing? Oversee all new builds, validation, commissioning, warranty work, and after sales service activities. Ensure the manufacturing department operates efficiently with respect to the schedule, direct labor hours, materials used and needed, customer specifications, and quality of work with the workforce each day. Take immediate and corrective action when required. Evaluate all production and field support staff, manage direct reports, and provide coaching and performance development plans, proactively address performance issues. Develop and maintain shop and service metrics to maximize efficiency and focus on continuous improvement. Provide data for the short-range and long-range planning such as resource and capital requirements to support growth plans. Provide quoting information such as hours and material estimates when requested. Lead equipment validation efforts reviewing customer supplied protocols and ensuring equipment readiness to comply with acceptance requirements. Create equipment commissioning and acceptance protocols for equipment without customer supplied requirements. Interact with all other departments and contribute to an atmosphere of high morale and enthusiasm promoting a sense of teamwork. Management of tooling, inventory, and vendor management programs for stock of shop supplies. Manage field service personnel, responsible for installation, warranty, and aftersales service activities. What you will need? Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required. Minimum of 8+ years of related work and must have prior management experience! Good understanding and ability to perform tasks and create documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
