Responsible for the compliance and daily operation of company benefit programs and bi-weekly payroll for all hourly and salaried associates. Provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of associate benefit programs and payroll processing and serves as a liaison to site HR leaders in all matters related to payroll, benefits and the wellness program.


  • Participate in payroll execution including timekeeping, master data, direct deposit, third party remittances, posting to general ledger and other post-payroll activities
  • Perform routine audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy of payroll and master data
  • Solve problems, answer inquiries, enforce payroll policy and recommend changes in process to improve efficiency
  • Perform account reconciliations and oversee the processing of monthly billings
  • Reconcile tax withholding and manage tax deposits through third party vendor
  • Develop, review and update payroll/benefit processes and procedure recommending changes for greater efficiency
  • Liaison with site leaders to ensure compliance with company policy and governmental regulations
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for management and governmental requirements
  • Provide retirement plan data to plan administrator to facilitate enrollment, changes, loans, distributions, company match and non-discrimination testing
  • Maintain payroll and benefit records ensuring the integrity, confidentiality and security of associate data
  • Process benefit enrollments, qualified life event changes, and terminations
  • Coordinate all payroll, benefit and wellness data feeds and ensure accurate and timely transmission
  • Develop and deliver communication and education related to payroll, benefit and wellness programs
  • Coordinate activity related to the wellness program
  • Responsible for administration of FMLA, Accident & Sickness program, salary continuation and other leaves of absence
  • Administer the corporate workers compensation program
  • Provide support and guidance to site representatives in relation to payroll and benefit matters


Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.  Must have at least 5 years of applicable experience in payroll and benefits.  Strong knowledge of FLSA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, and ACA.  Proficiency with HRIS systems, as well as Excel and Powerpoint.  Analytical mindset with strong computational skills and strong attention to detail.  Must be able to work in a team environment and strive for continuous improvement in everything you do.
