Maritime & Transportation Security Manager


Well known and respected security provider, to critical infrastructure elements and operating under the MTSA ( Maritime Transportation Security Act ), is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager, to serve as Security Manager assigned to a client facility.  Will be responsible for the management, supervision, and effectiveness of shift supervisors and subordinate security officers assigned to client facilities. 


  • PM will serve as the senior Security Manager, reporting to a Regional Manager, having full oversight over client facility.
  • PM will serve as the senior Security officer responsible for Post Order implementation and compliance at the client facility; PM will conduct regular Post Order reviews and implement updates and procedural changes as necessary, and as agreed to with the client FSO, his/her representatives, and corporate management.
  • PM will assure full regulatory and security process/procedural compliance with applicable DHS/USCG rules and regulations for an MTSA restricted facility, plus any other relevant security requirements that apply to the client location.
  • PM will serve as the senior liaison with the client’s senior management team, FSO, and client security staff; PM will assist the FSO in Facility Security Plan (FSP) related matters as directed; PM will serve as the senior responsible person for the organization in liaison with the USCG plus all other relevant federal, state, and local authorities for security related matters.
  • PM will assure all security staff training meets and/or exceeds applicable regulatory requirements, and is further tailored as necessary to the operating realities of the client facility; PM will assure all record keeping and document preparation requirements are met as per federal, state and any local requirements, plus any client requirements and internal corporate headquarters requirements.
  • PM will assure all administrative matters as required by Corporate Headquarters are managed and monitored properly with timely reporting to headquarters as directed; PM further will generate other reports as directed by corporate management and/or the client FSO.
  • Other duties as assigned by Regional Manager or Corporate Headquarters.



Applicable and relevant background consistent with performing the physical and managerial responsibilities at a large industrial complex.  Candidates with MTSA/USCG training and/or Certification under 33 CFR-105 preferred.  Must be hands-on, working manager able to develop and implement policies and procedures consistent with operating in a facility.  PM must be up-to-date in his/her understanding of current Coast Guard Directives.
