What will you be doing?
  • Understand and comply with all processes and procedures to help achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC)
  • Ability to understand all line machinery and controls.
  • General mechanical / electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of frequency drives (programming experience is not necessary) and PLC controls (troubleshooting)
  • Knowledge of general industrial electricity-110V, 220V, and 480V three phase.
  • Support compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Possess working electrical diagnostic equipment common to field.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment safely.
  • Read and understand equipment manuals and drawings.
  • Report all parts taken from inventory for reordering to the Parts Coordinator.
  • Work effectively and remain calm in all situations.
  • Must have the ability to work independently of direct supervision.
  • Perform necessary changeovers of line equipment in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot line equipment and make necessary repairs to keep it running as required.
  • Knowledge in Compressors, Dryers, Desiccant Systems, and Controls.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility to keep them in top working condition.
  • Responsible for startup after changeover.
  • Participate in special projects and/or assignments as required
  • Work with outside contractors to coordinate assigned projects
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
  • Assemble and install equipment, using a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Use blueprints and electrical schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
  • Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, hi-lows and trucks.
  • Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit.
  • Develop and prioritize individual machine maintenance needs when necessary.
  • Drive hi-lo to move equipment for inspection/repair/installation.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
  • Take initiative to learn more about the machines by reading manuals and other materials
  • Responds to emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Looks for opportunity to get employees involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
  • To follow all safety guidelines and applicable procedures. 
  • Read, understand and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA). 
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
  • Shut down process if unsafe.

What do you need for this position?
  • 2-3 years of technical training, and/or the equivalent of job-related experience and training
  • Must be able to perform the majority of the tasks listed above
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license
  • Ability to obtain a crane certification
  • Ability to obtain lockout/tagout certification
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check
  • Valid driver’ s license
