Maintenance Manager

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Compensation: $80,000-100,000/year depending on experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Our Maintenance Manager oversees all production equipment, preventative maintenance, and Maintenance Technicians in a fast pace heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Our Maintenance Manager has a strong background in mechanical equipment, electrical, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatic, and plumbing.
  • Our Maintenance Manager  identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve overall plant efficiency, mechanical downtime reduction, cost reduction opportunities as well as departmental and plan objectives.
  • Our Maintenance Manager plans, designs, implement all controls and automation of plant equipment, including updates of current equipment, projects, and new equipment specs.
  • Our Maintenance Manager implements and manages all capital projects, including scope of project, design and specs of equipment, managing vendors, delivery of equipment, and project timelines.
  • Our maintenance Manager keeps Plant Manager informed of all project status and departmental issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Maintenance Manager role within a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability and desire to be hands on and out on the production floor.
  • Demonstrated experience within the development and implementation of improvement programs.

Position hours are 8am - 5pm, but must have flexibility based upon needs of the organization, including some weekends and after hour shifts.
