                What you will be doing?

  • Coordinate the development, modification, installation and issue resolution of IBM Power/AS400 and network applications.
  • Prioritize, schedule and oversee the processing of user requests and optimize available IT application development resources (with an emphasis on on-time completion, minimizing lead times and sustaining a high level of quality while supporting Strategy Deployment Priorities.
  • This position is responsible for the direction and development of two direct reports (an RPG Programmer/Analyst and a Web/Application Developer).
  • responsible for advising users in the purchase of appropriate application software, managing software licensing and leading application-related projects.
  • Oversee the installation and support for all applications. Ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and follow our Project Request/application development methodology.

What you will need?

  • Bachelor’ s Degree and at least 2-3 years’ experience in a management or Team Lead function overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  •   Knowledge of RPG programming in an iSeries environment preferred
  • Knowledge of IBM Power/AS400 (iSeries) query and programming tools, such as Sequel (ViewPoint) and Abstract preferred.
  • Knowledge of IBM Power/AS400 (iSeries) commands, operations and administration using IBM Navigator preferred.
  • Knowledge of application development methods/tools, such as C# (MVC), Visual Studio, TSQL, Stored Procedures, and other similar tools preferred
