Head of Digital Marketing

This role works closely with our CEO and BU Presidents, to develop and evolve ideas to bring together company goals, sales objectives and customer engagement. We need a leader who can build a long term digital strategy and transform the digital landscape fo the business.

Located in Houston, TX, the Head of Digital Marketing will help guide our client into the Digital Marketing arena, as the Architect for a digital marketing blueprint for its corporate entity and 8 separate portfolio manufacturing businesses. 

This newly created position will develop the vision and plan for a digital marketing implementation for this B2B company, several thousand employees, 8 separate distinct businesses with nearly 40 separate locations around the US.

The candidate will be responsible for developing solutions to meet business objectives based on insight and data. Spotting trends and technologies that play key roles in the lives of our core target audiences, as well as a deep understanding of SEM/SEO/Social strategies that drive engagement, demand and ultimately revenue, is critical.


  • Translate business priorities into marketing strategies and tactics in conjunction with business unit leadership to achieve broad financial and strategic goals
  • Develop and execute strategies, concepts and approaches for new customer initiatives across all digital platforms/touchpoints (Content, Video, Inbound, Demand Gen, Web, Social, Influencer Strategy, and Digital PR, etc.). 
  • Work collaboratively with business unit leaders on developing and maintaining digital strategies that leverage common tools and best practices to meet their unique customer challenges
  • Manage the portfolio of key third-party relationships (agencies, service providers, consultants, etc.) necessary for the success of the company’s digital strategy. Works closely with vendor/consulting project managers as needed on the coordination of all tasks and activities
  • Oversee analysis across all platforms and channels to measure overall performance drivers.  Evaluate data to provide insights that inform and support multichannel digital strategies.  Analyze web traffic metrics and suggest solutions to boost web presence.  Monitor SEO/SEM, marketing and sales performance metrics to forecast trends
  • Set digital marketing strategies using all necessary tools (e.g. website, emails, social media and blogs)
  • Keep up-to-date with our audience preferences and proactively suggest new campaigns
  • Develop budget and maintain a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) that will track the effectiveness of each business unit’s digital strategy against the defined goals
  • Implement a full cross-channel CRM platform to drive efficiency and retention
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology developments, tools and best practices. Research products, services and current strategies to identify new opportunities


  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred with 7 to 10 years’ experience in a digital/ecommerce leadership role with a track record of building and leading digital/ecommerce platforms.  Experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies is a must.
  • Overall marketing experience with an expertise in digital marketing within a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing successful digital marketing campaigns.
  • Digital brand planning experience, with a broad grasp of digital strategies across Content, Video, Inbound, Demand Gen, Web, Social, Influencer Strategy and Digital PR.
  • In-depth knowledge of current digital marketing channels, tools and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics and CRM software
  • Familiarity with web design and knowledge of web design procedures.
  • Experience developing and leading a CRM strategy with proven results.
  • Domain knowledge that gives insight into customer behavior and the ability to translate it to a digital strategy.
  • Ability to take a data-centric approach to improve decision making.  Experience driving business results by utilizing business intelligence, segmentation and targeting. Demonstrated track record of planning, executing, tracking and post-mortem analysis of digital sales and marketing initiatives
