What will you be doing?
  • As an Engineering Manager you lead  Product Development Cycle by estimating review for proper process and costing; planning and implementation of new projects; providing customer-oriented technical solutions; driving priorities through a clear understanding of business needs; and leading R&D efforts for the aerospace division to drive growth in revenue.
  • As an Engineering Manager you you direct  activities for engineering group and serves as a resource on projects and  supervise  employees and carries out responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and the organization' s policies and procedures.
  • Our Engineer Manager prepares and maintains cost controls for department budget including capital planning.
  • Our Engineering Manager Champions safety, quality and continuous improvement programs
  • Our Engineering Manager Maintains awareness of new technologies in industry to support ongoing requirements for capacity and productivity.
  • Maintains general knowledge of operations, project management and overall engineering
  • Travels to customers and suppliers to develop and maintain relationships relating to technical issues
  • Maintains and optimizes Engineering Change Request (ECR) procedures to guarantee timely and qualified implementation of engineering changes in organization.
  • Ensures that consistent communication takes place at all levels, informing of progress, problems and solutions.  
  • As Our Engineering Manager you are interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problem.

What do you need for this position?
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7 years related aerospace engineering experience (can add education + job experience).
  • 7 years’ experience in manufacturing, metals fabrication, including experience with machining; prefer experience with aluminum or titanium.
  • 5 years’ experience in product development/launch experience; working with customers and providing specifications and designs.
  • 3 or more  years supervisor/management experience, leadership skills with team building experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and project planning software; MS Office applications.
  • Leadership skills with extreme emphasis on people.
  • Quality – AS9100.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Preferred applicants will have:
  • MS/MBA or actively pursuing a master degree
  • PMP certification
  • Solid experience with quality systems, AS9100
  • Experience with Aluminum or Titanium; machining experience
