As a key contributor will be responsible for forecasting activities associated with customers and products.  Will be functional expert in developing and maintaining forecast models, derived from all departments (ie, sales, marketing, finance ). Purpose will be correctly predict customer demand and provide supply chain with the appropriate information to plan how to meet customer demand.

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Gather, analyze and validate sales data (e.g. sales plans, business reviews, etc) and solicit input from business directors to get an accurate sales picture.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers and develop a site quarterly SIOP agreement.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand process including any agreed upon metrics.
  • Maintain demand planning system, enter and modify data and ensure the correct product hierarchy, monitor trends in forecast error, identity relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence, and establish targets for inventory turns.
  • Create and implement all reports pertaining to demand planning process and monitor variances.
  • Issue purchase orders for global finished good & manage 3 PL’ s on delivery.


Undergraduate degree preferred with at least 3 years of applicable experience in demand planning, within a high volume production environment.  Solid understanding of statistics, forecasting and forecast methods.  Excellent data analysis with a high degree of attention to detail coupled with probably solving skills.    Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.  Must be strong in Microsoft Office and related software.  Must have strong MRP/ERP background. Able to travel 10% of the time.
