Corporate Controller

Medium-size (250 employee )and growing privately held manufacturing company, two site location, based in Georgia  is currently seeking a Corporate Controller for their operations.  This role will lead a group of 7 in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.  This role will report to the CEO of the organization and work closely with the executive management team on the development, implementation and management of the organizations overall financial and accounting processes and procedures. Will also be involved in the rapid expansion and growth strategies of the company by continued M&A work.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports accurately and timely with analysis.
  • Lead Relationship for key stakeholders (banking, accounting and customers).
  • Independently lead day to day internal audit, budgeting, financing and tax initiatives. 
  • Drive Change for financial operations and processes. 
  • Assist to solve the problems faced from daily operations in both account payable and account receivable. 
  • Assist in formulating, enhancing the internal control procedure and accounting policies. 
  • Assist supervisor and senior management in forecasting and budgeting work and other management reporting duties. 
  • Supervise colleagues in Finance Department to handle AR and AP matters.
  • Engage in annual audit and compliance for the company. 
  • Oversee and manage freight administration including reconciling and accruing freight.
  • Oversee, manage, and coordinate quarterly and year-end physical inventory and periodic cycle counts.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor' s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years plus year of  relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership background, managing several areas within accounting. 
  • Strong technical skills, ( ex. advanced Excel skills, metric development, financial analysis skills). 
  • Experience in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and processes. 
  • Experience with Crystal Reports. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak with co-workers at all levels. 
  • Strong ability to problem solve and be able to develop people. 
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
