Contract Administrator

We are currently working with an organization in South Bend that is looking for a Contract Administrator.

In this position, the Contract Administrator will be responsible for all the post award major individual material contract purchases from the U.S. Government, which includes:

  • Researching any pricing issues
  • Inputting quotes
  • Negotiating terms and conditions (Schedule changes and other terms pertaining to orders with the U.S. Government.
    • Coordinating with internal department to ensure all terms and conditions are met.
  • Reviewing contracts for correct terms and regulatory compliance.
  • Overseeing the preparation of management reports documenting contract activity used in forecasting the Annual Operating Plan of the organization.
  • Tracking of on-time delivery performance and providing timely responses to internal and external customer inquiries.

In the Contract Administrator role, it is a necessity to have a broad knowledge of (FAR/DFAR/DPAS) and U.S. Government contract administration policies and procedures; a working knowledge of all phases of manufacturing, pricing, material management, shipping and contract administration.


  • BA in Business Administration or 2+ years’ experience in FAR contracting related field
  • NCMA Certification is a plus!
  • Broad knowledge of FAR/DFAR/DPAS and U.S. Government contract administration policies and procedures
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computers skills (MS Office)
