A diversified manufacturing organization, based in central, IN is currently seeking The Chief Financial Officer (CFO)  for the organization.  This role plays a key role in developing, monitoring and evaluating overall corporate strategy with the President/CEO and Executive Leadership team. The CFO is accountable for the administrative, financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. This role with work in concert with the CEO on a broad range of strategic initiatives designed to foster and grow the organization. 

The CFO will interact effectively with the various business segments and locations throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  Will be looked upon as business partner and advisor to all leaders in the organization, as well as interact extensively with the Board of Directors. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the President/CEO, Executive Leadership team and senior-level managers.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
  • Evaluate departments and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency.
  • Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the Company’ s plan for growth and expansion.
  • Select and engage consultants, auditors and vendors.
  • Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models.
  • Work the President/CEO and executive leadership team to develop plans, initiatives and recommendations.
  • Implement finance and accounting-related policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by the President/CEO.
  • Lead the Accounting, Treasury, Payroll and Information Technology departments in a multi-plant, international manufacturing company.
  • Lead banking relations, including day to day operating activities, as well as credit and loan activities and reporting requirements.
  • Coordination of corporate consolidation in accordance with US GAAP on monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including annual audit by outside CPA firm.
  • Experience in M&A activities including due diligence activities, purchase negotiations and bank financing.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by business site, forecast vs. budget by division and weekly cash flow by division.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
  • Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives and/or new service offerings.
  • Develop and maintain monthly and annual operating budgets.
  • Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
  • Oversee cash and asset management area.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in Accounting or Finance.  Master’ s Degree preferred.
  • CPA Preferred.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SOX, GAAP.
  • Experience leading the financial evaluations of mergers and acquisitions candidates.
  • Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.
  • Experience in a multi-plant manufacturing company environment with multiple entities.
  • Experience in leading and support IPO efforts.
