Electronic Component Account Executive

As a broad overview, the Account Executive, Electronic Components will be responsible for account management and business development of the company’ s line of passive components with the automotive arena.  Activities include conducting sales calls, presentations, trade shows, strategic alliances and developing sales to penetrate existing accounts and development new opportunities for growth.

  • Establish account prioritization and planning to drive growth for assigned accounts and monitor progress
  • Make frequent direct sales calls to drive growth, retention and profitability and optimize market penetration.
  • Manage outside Independent Sales Rep. 
  • Interface with customers to determine technical requirements, feasibility, and expectations in order to ensure an accurate comprehension and understanding of the requirements and completeness of the  deliverables.
  • Participate in finding new opportunities or services to meet the needs of our customers. Will maintain a high standard of technical knowledge in relation to the company and its products, services, and competitors.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting (cold calling) to new customer acquisition.
  • Organizes and manages sound proposal preparation, pricing establishment, and quotation activities.
  • Develop internal relationships with inside sales support, customer service, planning, operations, materials, engineering, accounting and other areas of the business to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Bachelor’ s degree required. 
  • Prefer Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related. 
  • Minimum of 6 years applicable experience. 
  • Background in RF components, and understanding of wireless technologies and markets is preferred.   
  • Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Application Software ( ie Word, Excel, Power point ).  This position travels from 10% - 40% at times, both domestics and international.  However, the brevity of travel will be in and around the greater Detroit area.
